Why generic rental templates break down
A WordPress rental plugin works fine until your business has a rule the plugin's author never imagined. A two-branch operation where cars can be dropped off at either location. A weekend rate that starts Friday at noon. A van that needs a four-hour cleaning gap between rentals.

How we handle availability
Availability is the part that quietly ruins rental businesses, so it gets built first. Every reservation writes to a single bookings table with a date range per vehicle. Searches query that range rather than a cached "available: yes/no" flag, which is what causes double bookings in cheaper builds.
Maintenance blocks, buffer periods between rentals and manual holds placed by your staff all use the same mechanism. If it's in the table, it can't be booked — there's no second code path to get out of sync.
